The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is seeking an energetic and friendly part-time Custodian to join our team.
The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning and maintenance to keep our district well-maintained for our students, staff, and community.
Essential Functions:
Performs routine maintenance activities.
Sweeps, mops, scrubs, or vacuum floors.
Gathers and empties trash.
Scrubs sanitizes, and supplies restroom facilities.
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
Cleans windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers.
Mixes cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
Cleans and polishes fixtures and furniture.
Notifies managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems Assist with helping to maintain facility grounds - some mowing and snow shoveling, minor landscaping.
Communicate effectively with all members of the district and community Cleans and assists with the upkeep of the facilities Reports any issue to the Director of Facilities.
Performs other related duties as assigned Position Requirements/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required Good communication and interpersonal skills Prolonged periods of standing, or walking required Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools Time management and multitasking abilities Physical strength and stamina Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and procedures Basic computer knowledge Ability to work alone and with other staff members Experience in school a plus Ability to adjust hours when required for events at night.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 1:
00 pm - 6:
30 pm during the school year.
Ability to flex hours when required.
10:
30 am to 4:
00 pm during the summer months.
